The Role:

Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll payments and accurate accruals. 

Key Responsibilties:
  • Manage the overall corporate payroll functions and controlling manpower data warehouse including, payroll processing, payroll social security deductions, reviewing and revising policies and procedures, as well as internal controls, system review and upgrade.
  • Manage the daily operations of the payroll section and resolving queries of the employees as per Wataniya Telecom’s policies.
  • Manage and verify any updates in employee’s data and maintain necessary documents for new staff or merit and promotion for existing.
  • Manage and ensure the accuracy of the monthly corporate payroll production.
  • Manage processing of all corporate payrolls through Oracle HRMS and resolve any issues immediately.
  • Manage all corporate payrolls payment after maintaining required authorities signatures as per authority matrix.
  • Manage all corporate payroll bank transfer and bank text format as agreed with bank.
  • Manage all corporate payrolls closing process and transfer payroll data to general ledger.
  • Manage and provide corporate payroll related analyses reports to top management with highlights of any major changes.
  • Recommend / highlight changes in the payroll policies and procedures.Manage the daily operations payments of the payroll section such as advance salary or leave salary.
  • Manage the monthly social security subscriptions payment on time to avoid penalties.
  • Manage the monthly governmental payments on time.
  • Manage monthly overtime claim and maintain necessary approval before process.
  • Manage monthly employee’s mobile deductions and update payment through BSCS team.
  • Manage processing annual bonus payment as per policy.
  • Manage processing monthly sales commission to eligible staff within stipulated time period.
  • Manage processing of employee’s claim or allowances as per approved policy.
  • Manage and validate data before processing payroll.
  • Manage monthly reconciliation of salary accounts and bank related statements and ensure all appropriated entries are updated.Create and provide payroll monthly reports to management.
  •  Create and provide payroll monthly head count report to management.Proactively manage and motivate the team to be highly professional and results oriented.
  • Work to improve employee performance through personal coaching and identifying training and development needs.
  • Ensure Individual Development Plans (IDP) are completed for all staff in accordance with Wataniya Telecom policy.
  • Recruit reporting staff as required.
  • Conduct annual performance appraisals (Performance Management System) and ensure objectives set are monitored and achieved.Proactively take responsibility for self improvement by staying well-informed of developments, knowledge and innovations in relevant field of expertise.
  • Other duties as directed by supervisor or other superiors.
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Accounting and appropriate registration with a recognised professional institute
Job specific technical Skills:
  • Required  financial accounting experience
  • 3+ years management experience
  • Excellent command of both written and verbal English
  • Good knowledge of MS Office applications like Excel, Word etc.
  • Knowledge of the mobile telecom industry ideal but not critical
  • Ability to operate in a diverse multicultural, multinational work environment, exhibiting appropriate sensitivitiesStrong Management skills
  • Computer literate with an analytical and enquiring approach
  • Good material management and procurement skills
  • Good Communication skills
  • Knowledge of Kuwait Labour Law
