The Purpose:
Responsible for managing one or more projects within the constraints of scope, resources, deliverables, quality, time, and cost, to deliver specified requirements and meet customer satisfaction. Responsible for directing and coordinating professional staff and/or work force in the design and production of product and service consistent with the goals and objectives of the project, having regard to innovative solutions, value management, cost-effectiveness, functional efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Coordinate Project Management activities within technology division. Ensure that projects are tracked, reported, risk identified and mitigated. Provide support for Project development and Project Management presentations and project implementations. Follow OK PLM life cycle process.
Key Accountabilities & Activities:
  • Recognize the project's Key Success Indicators and manage the work within scope, resources, deliverables, quality, time, and cost constraints.
  • Ensure all the project's requirements and/or objectives are correctly gathered, understood, documented and properly translated for production.
  • Ensure all project requirements and/or objectives are properly documented in a Business Case and/or Project Brief, as appropriate, and vigorously pursued.
  • Establish and update project plan with actual and forecasts maintaining a standard predefined PM procedure. Ensure project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately.
  • Prepare short-term plans or stage plans as the project progresses.
  • Enter the data and information necessary for creating projects for Project Costing Lifecycle Management & Track in our Enterprise Resource Planning Tool.
  • Manage deviations from plan through change control process.
  • Document, obtain approval, and track all changes in project parameters.
  • Projects and program management following the project management methodology as defined by company.
  • Recommend, obtain, manage and coordinate all necessary services and competent staff for the project. Effectively apply Ooredoo Telecom methodology and enforces project standards.
  • Ensure timely activity, integration and productivity of technical support.
  • Administer efficient use of resources to meet requirements with clear identification of task completion.
  • Conduct BIA (Business Impact Analysis) as required.
  • Analyse impact on other systems/elements on the existing infrastructure
  • Manage conflicts to an early resolution.
  • Identify, quantify and follow up issues likely to cause risk or delays to projects.
  • Liaise with project's sponsor and owner's representatives or users on issues.
  • Liaise with supplier and contractor representatives.
  • Confirm and disseminate all applicable professional, technological, regulatory standards and guidelines applicable to the work.
  • Ensure quality assurance and quality control is followed.
  • Facilitate project risk reviews and appropriate mitigation.
  • Escalate decisions and any unresolved issues to the next level of management and make recommendations.
  • Facilitate communication as appropriate to all involved and maintain contact with owner's stakeholders to ascertain project requirements and/or level of satisfaction with progress and performance.
  • Document and report all obstacles, delays, and claims.
  • Track and report progress including realistic forecasts of final target positions.
  • Coordinates interdepartmental functions in order to minimize delays.
  • Exchange ideas, information and opinions with all stakeholders to arrive at decisions, conclusions, solutions, or solve disputes.
  • Prepares and delivers formal presentations to colleagues and management.
  • Prepare an end of project report. Close all project documentation and archive appropriate records.
  • Manage the transfer of care, custody and control of the final product/service.
  • Ensure proper assembly of documentation.
  • Assist Manager in achieving department’s objectives.
  • Facilitate team and client meetings effectively. Hold regular status meetings with project team.
  • Quality checks all plans and deliveries in terms of data integrity and accurateness.
  • Meet quality and performance KPI with supporting documents.
  • Ensure that upper management is informed on all critical issues pertaining to the area responsible for. (Through management reports & by timely escalations).
  • Provide reports, make standard reports and tailor makes them where necessary.
  • Assist the management in developing and implementing procedures and standards that will provide effective workflows.
  • Properly archive project documentation on TPI & Budget Control Planning shared folder on weekly basis (As required).Handle the business CRs and demand
  • Ensure business demand is delivered within the agreed timelines and scope
  • Prevent CR scope creep and manage the business expectation and demand
  • Handle business escalations and concerns
  • Handle communications between the internal stakeholders and the relevant vendors
  • Report the CRs delivery and performance to the management and the business stakeholders
  • Resolve and mitigate any issues or impediments that’s may face the CR delivery 
  • Adopt and promote the agile and Dev-Ops methodology to the CRs and product delivery
  • Guide and support the business with the CR requirements and manage their expectation in term of delivery and scope
  • Hold meetings between the ADM vendor and the internal stakeholders. Produce Minutes of Meetings and follow up on the resulting action until they are delivered
  • Ensure business and the ADM vendors perquisites are addressed and attained at all stages of the CR life-cycle
  • Update the CM Portal tool with the CR progress on daily basis and ensure all supporting documents are uploaded by the ADM vendor and the internal stakeholders.
  • Manage the ADM FMO vendor delivery and quality.
  • Ensure the vendors adhere to the contractual SLAs and scope. Apply service credit and penalties when applicable
  • Enforced processes and policies set by Ooredoo on the ADM vendor.
  • Resolve any conflicts and handle escalation related the FMO ADM vendor
  • Facilitate access, data, pre-requisites, tools and working environment to the vendors to ensure smooth delivery and healthy working environment
  • Handle communication between the vendor and Ooredoo Kuwait internal stakeholders
  • Timely escalation to management in case of the vendor deviation from process, commitments or scope
  •  Monitor the vendor performance, give guidance to enhance and improve the delivery and quality.
  • Produce report on daily, weekly and monthly basis for the CRs status and performance
  • Liaison with Service Assurance and Operation team on the CR deployment and launch process and timelines
  • Manage CR release delivery end to end and align the vendor and the internal stakeholders
  • Announce the CRs milestones in timely manner and ensure adherence from both the ADM vendor and the internal stakeholders
  • All responsibilities as defined above in Technical Project Management
  • Contribute to the motivation of junior staff, providing day to day assistance where necessary. Proactively take responsibility for self-improvement by staying well-informed of developments, knowledge and innovations in relevant field of expertise.

Requirements:
  • 3-4 years relevant project management experience
  • Good project management skills
  • Knowledge of the Telecom industry would be an advantage
  • Ability to operate in a diverse multicultural, multinational work environment, exhibiting appropriate sensitivities
  • Good knowledge of applications like Microsoft Project, MS Visio & MS Office Excel, Power Point, Word etc.
  • Excellent command of both written and verbal English, Arabic would be an advantage

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or related discipline and appropriate registration with a recognized professional institute
  • Project Management Qualifications and Accreditations, at least Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or higher certification accredited by PMI.
