The role holder is responsible for the ICT business plan and ensure that this supports Qtel's overall strategy, vision and operations.
Role holder is responsible for Qtel's ICT strategy, meet ICT revenue goals and integration of acquired IT Services companies into the Qtel Group to extend Qtel's business portfolio into end-to-end IT Services covering ICT, voice, data and entertainment solutions, which is unique to each industry vertical.

• Role holder will be responsible for managing financial planning such as Capex, Opex, revenue and manpower
• Define rules of engagement for the Qtel Group and rd Parties
  Coordinate and put together the ICT business plan
• Identify and manage key resources that supports the ICT business model
• Manage the unit operating budget within the approved guidelines, highlighting and managing any variances as appropriate and as defined in the company's policies and procedures
• Manage and develop talent pool, cross-training and performance based model
  Adopt pragmatic approach to building seamless processes, workflow and bids in support of ICT activities
• Implement and drive the ICT plan across the Business Solutions BU with frequent forecast to incorporate changes in the evolving market to access and define key strategies required to achieve short and long term objectives and revenue targets
• Follow-up all the projects and initiatives with all concerned departments to ensure timely completion within the budget and report any alerts up the management chain
• Ensure objectives are achieved in line with management targets and boost commitment across the organisation
• Highlight issues such as resource allocations, change control and dependency management. Ultimately ensuring that the ICT roadmap remains achievable and delivers on time, cost and quality
• Conduct analysis and provide strategic guidance on issues facing the department from internal, external and market factors
• Manage special projects and strategic initiatives as they are required by management

• At least 15 years experience working in a large organisation of which at least 5 years experience in a management role
• Must have experience in technology fields as related to telecommunications, networks, IT services and consulting
• Must have been in a customer facing role
• Must have understanding of bid process and commercial terms/impact
• Strong acumen in corporate business and ICT related matters
• Experience in gathering project plans and information from a variety of sources and interpreting through awareness of Qtel processes and commercial awareness how achievable these plans can be
• Analytical skills and experience providing strategic recommendations
• Attention to detail in addition to developed sales and project management skills
• Sound planning and organising skills
• Good business forecasting skills
• Excellent Interpersonal skills
• Strong presentation and negotiation skills

• Bachelor degree in Telecom/IT Engineering.MBA preferred
