VAC6099 - Vendor Management Manager

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    Overview:

    Strategy definition and communication:

    • Manages and supports the rollout team to ensure that accurate prices are used by the network equipment vendors and service suppliers
    • Builds strong collaborative networks and communicates with internal stakeholders and relevant group stakeholders to ensure alignment on the category sourcing strategies

      Negotiation and contract management:

    • Supports the implementation of contracts with major vendors in Myanmar
    • Manages the contract variations to ensure the project is executed on time and on budget
    • Conducts effective change management with stakeholders post-implementation to realise value from initiatives

      Supplier relationship management (SRM):

    • Supports the development of suppliers’ KPIs and scorecard and manages the collection of supplier performance data for regular supplier review.

       Performance reporting and compliance:

    • Ensure that the procurement of equipment and services is in compliance with Ooredoo’s policies and procedures.
    • Promotes compliance on Ooredoo Myanmar policies, processes and procedures

 

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
  • Strategy: Ensure that suppliers deliver their commitments on budget and on time.
  • SRM: Additional quantifiable benefits generated on cost avoidance through strategic supplier relationships (e.g., cost avoidance due to demand management, forecasting etc)
  • Performance: Business compliance on Ooredoo Myanmar / Group Sourcing Contracts
Performance: Structures the management of suppliers to minimise potential variation orders from network equipment and services suppliers
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience & Essential Knowledge

  • Minimum 8 years relevant procurement or telecom project experience, of which 3 years should be in telecommunications
  • Proven expertise in negotiating with suppliers in relevant supplier markets within
  • Telecommunications
  • Fluent in English (both written and verbal)
  • Experience in APAC / Myanmar preferred
  • Written/oral fluency in Myanmar language is useful but not mandatory

Entry Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor degree qualification, preferably should be in Mobile communication related or business/finance/legal/Engineering/ network discipline
  • Preferably certified by a relevant professional body (e.g., CIPS, CPM) or qualified with a relevant Master’s degree (e.g., Supply Management)
