Role Summary:

 

Provide technical system support to all RDBMS including Oracle ,MS SQL, MySql Databases and other related sub-systems, and coordinate changes to computer databases, test and implement the database applying knowledge of database management systems.  May plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Database Administration, housekeeping and maintenance, tuning and optimization.
  • Managing in particular the system’s support of the Oracle Server Databases and all related logical aspects (tables, indexes, views, ...etc).
  • Responsible for SQL queries tuning to minimize overhead on the database
  • Performing backup strategy (Physical / Logical / Archive mode) in order to insure data integrity and business continuity
  • Responsible for the design and setup of data structure
  • Investigating Database related problems/queries submitted by the IT billing and proposing workaround and solutions.
  • Database level auditing on Data definition or Data manipulation statements level.
  • Managing optimum security level on all aspects (connection, encryption) for data.  
  • Daily operations tasks and s/w patches/fixes tracing and implementing.
  • Writes logical and physical data base descriptions including location, space, access method, and security.
  • Establishes and calculates optimum values for data base parameters.
  • Develops data model describing data elements and how they are used, following procedures using pen, template, or computer software.
  • Reviews project request describing data base user need, estimating time and cost required to accomplish project.
  • Selects and enters codes to monitor data base performance and to create production database.
  • Reviews procedures in data base management system manuals for making changes to database.
  • Revises company definition of data as defined in data dictionary.
  • Specifies user and user access levels for each segment of database.
  • Trains users and answers questions
Work Experience & Qualifications::

          Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Oracle 10g min certified
  • SQL certified and any other DBA certification

      

    Experience: 

  • 2-3 Year Experience in IT field and RDBMS environment
  • Excellent experience of Information Systems
  • Excellent knowledge of Oracle RDBMS administration
  • Good knowledge of Telecom applications
  • Good knowledge of Oracle WebLogic.
  • Good knowledge of Oracle ERP.
  • Experience with data archiving and DWH operations.
  • Experience with RDBMS high availability and clustering.
  • Experience with Oracle RAC and data guard.

  • The ability to manage and to plan all databases systems based on Network node managers and using centralized management console, also the comprehension of data structure of Telecom applications.
