The Purpose:

The role-holder is responsible for the full device wholesale management duties.


The owner of the distribution & wholesale model.  This includes end to end management from the forecasting phase until delivery driving ooredoo’s top line revenue while growing relationships with core device brands.


Forecasting & ordering of wholesale products in line with the other device retail requirements.


Partner management to build strategic partners in different countries to help us drive this business including hunting for new partners.


Introduce and manage the wholesale models to drive ooredoo’s revenues and improve margins.
Key Accountabilities & Activities:
  • Runs sales and operational planning process (forecasting / vendor volume planning)

  • Maintains 3 month rolling device forecast

  • Tracks / Manages quality of forecasting against accuracy targets.

  • Manage device ordering based on the company forecasts for each sales channel.

  • Manage and amend forecasting and ordering based on the process – amending as needed.

  • Responsible for clearing their product orders if it doesn’t move as forecasted.

  • Responsible for leading all activities related to device availability.Device Wholesale process end to end owner.

  • Strategically manage both partners for distribution and device partners.

  • Maximize device partner support.Maximize device revenue and margin while still maintaining healthy stocks in core retail channels.

  • Manage the entire process from building an order to delivering the stock to a partner.  This includes forecasting, approvals, payment tracking, subsidy tracking, support management, and delivery.

  • Manage the different wholesale portfolio to expand the products and potential.

  • Manage the different wholesale models to maximize revenue and margins.Introduce and manage the integration and automation of wholesale sales.

  • Completely automate and simplify the wholesale process including introduction of possible tools and models.Manage the wholesale product portfolio.

  • Expand the products to increase market share on new product tiers.

  • Introduce new wholesale models to improve margin and revenues.

  • 3-5  years of experience of which 3 should  be experience in telecom, software, consulting or IT sectors

  • 3+ years of experience with mobile devices, such as handset, smartphones and wireless data terminals.

  • 2+ years of experience in forecasting and channel/production planning for devices.

  • 1+ years of inside sales or account management experience.

  • Experience with cross-functional sales and operational planning.

  • Ability to effectively operate within diverse and cross functional groups, including outside partners/suppliers

  • Proven track record in product development, devices & accessories, product marketing, events planning and partnerships

  • Core understanding of P+L and Budgets; ability to communicate in financial terms | elementary financial literacy

  • Desire to understanding of the key trends, technologies and companies in today's global communications landscape | must show passion and curiosity for accessories.

  • Experience in Partner Management.Bachelor Degree (Marketing, Business or Science preferred)
