Role Purpose:
To define, lead and manage the E-channel strategy and operations of the company. Responsible for increasing revenue from E-channels, optimizing efficiency, accelerate growth, conduct strategic assessment of new revenue streams and create award winning Electronic touch-point experiences for customers.
Key Accountabilities & Responsiblities:

Define long term E-channels’ strategy that compliments and supports overall corporate strategy and vitalizes customer experiences online.

Research and review new development areas of online in order to place the company at the forefront of changing web technologies and platforms

Build new profitable web based products based on market trends, projections and insights.

Manage multi-channel conflict when E-channels are involved so as to provide maximum stakeholder value.

Conduct strategic assessment of E-channel performance in order to review channel performance and create direct impact on growth and revenue.

Generate profitability from the E-channels by developing new products, services and applications to drive revenue.

Manage end to end web related product development projects by following company project management and launch process.

Oversee the RFPs (Request for Proposal), RFQs (Request for Quotation) and lead influence and recommend the direction for vendor selection.
Work with the Director- Product Development, to establish clear protocol and framework for innovative web product design and development

Define, Manage and oversee E-channels budget for new products, services, vendors, platforms and software and hardware maintenance.

Work closely with the Ooredoo group team on development of group level products or a common product roadmap.

Ensure all E-channels (Portal, kiosks, Store Electronic LCD displays, app) are providing optimized UX and innovative customer experiences.

Monitor on-going Product Development progress in terms of plans and report back to relevant stakeholders.

Oversee and conduct due diligence on new web technologies that empower the company, provide competitive edge and grow reach. 

Attend training courses, seminars, conferences, vendor meetings, presentations and weekly meetings, as needed, to stay fully informed with the latest cutting edge business ideas.

Develop internal motivation and training protocols for innovation in web development and UX design.

Manage internal web publishing task management

Mobilize and coordinate activities , tasks and milestones by setting team goals and targets

Motivate E-channels team by providing valuable incentive and creating the necessary positive team spirit

Facilitate marketing publishing needs onto E-channels such as content; creative design, interfaces, functionality and campaign go live in coordination with departments such as sales, Marcomm and Product Marketing. 

Report web analytics and performance KPI’s from all relevant E-channels

Report E-channel performance by quarter including traffic, revenue and sales

Support company stakeholders that need insight into E-channel KPI’s


Qualification & Requirements:
  • Minimum of 12 years of related working experience in large scale E-channel and E-business projects

  • 8+ years of supervisory experience.

  • Strong understanding of telecommunications products.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent experience in Agile web commerce and project management

  • Experience negotiating with vendors and contractors.

  • Supervisory and coaching experience.

  • Experience writing presentations.

  • Self-motivated leader with a passion to succeed.

  • Ability to operate in a diverse multicultural, multinational work environment, exhibiting appropriate sensitivities.

  • Fluent verbal and written communication in English. Arabic is a plus but not required.

  • Degree in Computer Science or MIS or E-commerce related industry certification

  •   Strong knowledge of Web project management using AGILE or waterfall/ SDLC.
  •  Expert knowledge in Revenue generation and conversion tracking from online channels.
  • Technical knowledge of scripting such as ASP.net, HTML5 or JSP is a plus.
