Role Purpose:
To Manage the international services, roaming services from commercial aspect. Oversee all interdepartmental coordination in the event of escalations for maximisation of outbound roaming revenues by ensuring achievement of wholesale roaming activity targets.
Key Accountabilities & Activities:
  • Develop strategic guidelines and briefings for various functions including Product, Pricing, Communication, Sales & Customer Care in line with defined strategy End to end management of the Visitor Segment propositions’ portfolio and customer experience

  • Develop acquisition, usage and retention strategies, programs and plans for the Outbound Traveller and Visitors segments

  • Effective timely and accurate contribution and implementation of the roaming and interconnection strategy and in line with the company’s strategy.

  • Contribute to the implementation of the roaming and interconnection strategy and plans in order to ensure alliance with company’s business line needs and objectives.

  • Ensure that the department objectives are effectively communicated across the department and line of sight is created between individual jobholders and the departmental / sector strategy.
  • Oversee and direct the day-to-day operations of the respective department by providing expertise encouraging and ensuring teamwork and aligning work processes in order to achieve high performance standards, meet established targets and objectives and ensure employee engagement in a motivated work environment
  • Maintain inbound wholesale revenue, and manage to reduce outbound cost
  • Revenues achieved through wholesale and retail planning
  • Generate regular and special reports for the roaming and International Services director that summarize and forecast regulatory activates and escalate critical issues to provide effective recommendations
  • Develop, maintain and improve reporting tools to perform in depth analyses of outbound roamers and visitors’ behaviour and finally identify untapped business opportunities
  • Work with communication to develop the message, collateral, branding and media plan for the segment
  • Work with Pricing to develop Value Propositions which are relevant and competitive for the segment

  • Work with Consumer Customer experience and Sales units to lower the roaming services activation barriers

  • Work with product team to define the product and content road-map for the segments

  • Identify priorities for the Roaming Commercial Managers in terms of roaming partnerships roll out

  • Manage / improve the outbound roaming retail.
  • Representing Ooredoo’ s in Ooredoo Group roaming forum, WAS, BARG, GSMA & GSMA Arab world groups and alliances.

  •  Proactively take responsibility for self-improvement by staying well-informed of developments, knowledge and innovations in relevant field of expertise.

  • Other duties as directed by supervisor or other superiors.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Deep Knowledge of the Roaming market, Knowledge of the technological tools and IT systems which support the Roaming business, Specialization and proven experience in negotiating, Finance knowledge (business cases, prices scenarios, etc.).

  • Advanced Negotiation and influencing skills, Team building and team working, Results and objective oriented, Analytical / strategic thinking, Communication skills and capacity to build transparent relationships, Project Management skills.
  • Bachelor degree in Marketing, Economics, Engineering or a related discipline and appropriate registration with a recognised professional institute.
  •  Strong analytical skills.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office applications like Excel, PowerPoint etc.
