Ooredoo Family Member:

The Section Head Brand, Sponsoring, Events , responsible for the Ooredoo Oman (OO) brand. In this role he/she initiates projects related to the OO brand with the sole purpose to increase the brand preference and BEI (brand equity index). part of the role is to manage events, sponsorships, events  activities which are supporting the brand values and which are in line with the brand and sponsorship strategy, as part of the OO “DNA” he/she continuously seeks new innovative ways to further differentiate, excite and create consumer engagement with the OO brand driving brand preference and loyalty.

Core Responsibilities:

Brand Management

Delivering brand Equity Index target and improve brand preference, working with OG (Ooredoo Group) Brand, PR, trade marketing, consumer marketing, new business and other relevant internal stakeholders to ensure the Ooredoo brand is supported and manage brand and marcom execution in line with the brand guidelines. Consumer roadmaps are executes in line with the brand guidelines and principles, manage the agencies, ensuring the teams follow the process with the needed approval gates at both local team and group level, reporting weekly progress against the roadmap and escalate to the Communications Director to remove blockers or resolve any conflicts with key stakeholders and tracking the effectiveness of campaigns in terms of revenue & acquisition as well as communication and brand performance.

Agency Management

Delivering best ROI and cost efficiency, managing and monitoring the agency engagement to ensure optimal working relationships and delivery of results at all times, ensuring the contract scope of work is delivered in the monthly and quarterly agency reviews and address any performance issues as required, ensuring contract renewals, payments of retainers and additional costs are managed in a timely and professional manner and working with the Communications Director to support RFPs to refresh agency commitments as required.


Sponsorships and Events

Delivering events  projects as stated in the annual roadmap, delivering sponsorship ROI and managing the in-house team and agencies to deliver the sponsorship events and trade events projects in accordance with the Brand and Marcom roadmap. In line with the  sponsorship strategy.

Budget

Overseeing the budget spend of campaigns to keep within the thresholds and budget over spend, proposing cost-saving techniques and tactics by leveraging contacts and agency knowledge, in particular with digital/ online communications and driving a mindset of efficiency and effectiveness into the campaigns team and oversee that all financial transactions are raised, processed and completed in a timely manner.

Motivating the team to be a High Performing group of individuals that are fast, effective and responsive to customers and competitors, fostering a culture of innovation and execution excellence, coaching, mentoring and inspiring team members in their daily work to expose them to new experiences and develop their skillets and providing effective performance management with development and succession plans and address performance issues when required.

The Person:

You should have minimum 8 years of Brand Management / Marketing,  including at least 5 years in a MarComms related function. Direct agency experience is desirable, otherwise extensive in-house experience is required.
- In-depth knowledge of Brand Management

- In-depth experience of Campaign tracking and reporting
- Demonstrated track record of managing teams
- In depth knowledge of Digital Marketing, including Social Media
