As the Department Head - Contract Management you will be leading all contractual and commercial management activities in relation to contract execution and managing the contractual relationships with suppliers of goods and services, as well as internal customers in order to drive best value from contracts held, ensuring that all contracts are operated in accordance with relevant guidelines and best practice; are cost effective and meet Ooredoo Oman’s requirements.

Core Responsibilities:

You will be responsible of the following:

  • To proactively manage all contracts in the organisation – principally key Network, IT and Wholesale contracts as determined by management from time to time
  • Support all aspects of the business by Ensuring:

Contract Implementation

  • To ensure that the agreed contractual obligations are met; deliverables are delivered and implemented accordingly;

  • To monitor and manage the implementation of contract compliance in order to secure the benefit of the company including preventing unnecessary delays, penalties, and other claims that may disrupt business;

  • To assist contract owner and business user to achieve the agreed business objectives within the Contract(s);

  • To monitor contract implementation to identify potential claims as well as to handle such claims, including providing the analysis, strategy and preparing the response to such claims.

    Contract System Management:

  • To monitor contract within the system to ensure that the contract is stored properly; and the contract data is maintained and updated periodically

  • To align the usage of the contract with PO released by contract owners

     

  • In coordination with Procurement, oversee the development of a robust end-end Contract Management Process for the Company
  • Draft a range of commercial contracts and agreements including IT hardware and software agreements, licensing arrangements, property related agreements, purchase and supply agreements, customer contracts, confidentiality agreements and other standard forms of commercial agreement.
  • Working with other telecommunications providers (including resellers) in the Sultanate both from a wholesale and interconnection perspective and also to develop industry positions with respect to key policy developments.
  • Assist in ensuring that the Company complies with its various licence requirements in a timely manner.
The Person:

You should have a minimum of 12 years of Post Qualification Experience with At least 4 years of relevant working experience in managing commercial contract matters, preferably in a Telco/ technology environment, knowledge and experience in contract drafting, post contract and vendor management and/or contract management, proficiency in utilising and interpreting financial models and analyses, experience in applying organisational standards when developing requests for proposals, negotiating terms and drafting contracts with a  degree or equivalent from a recognised university with a strong working knowledge of the law of contract and contract management.
