As the Department Head- Online Shop and eCommerce you will be responsible of providing leadership as well as strategic, visionary and inspirational support to the development of new digital products and services that fulfil the ‘eCommerce’ promise and provide lasting value to our customers.

Core Responsibilities:

You will be responsible of end to end responsibility of a comprehensive digital life strategy.The key elements:

  • Online shopping (e and mCommerce). How to comprehensively move transactions from ‘physical’ to ‘online’.
  • eLife. An in-depth analysis of how consumer behaviour is moving on line and the development and implementation of a strategy which ensures we are operating in this space.
  • Alignment with key stakeholders.
  • Achieving management buy in to the strategy.
  • Implementation of the agreed strategy.
  • Contributing to the overall yearly digital marketing plan.

You will be responsible to deliver the revenue targets for digital and new business, designing, creating, development and marketing of new products which act on opportunities highlighted as part of opportunity assessments and agreed cross functionally as part of the overall NPD process, modifying existing products and services to ensure they remain relevant to customers requirements during its lifetime (Product Lifecycle Management), retiring products when they reach the end of their relevant lifetime, identifying project obstacles (risks, issues and changes in scope) and support resolution / creation of mitigation plans, reporting on escalations and obstacles to management as part of the PMO management report, leading the eCommerce steering committee, preparing project dashboard to management, developing ad-hoc project assessments and reviews, presenting progress reports to management, responsible for the partnerships that contribute to each product or service within the portfolio. In particular:

  • Partner innovation
  • Partner deliverables
  • The partner relationship, in particular the contractual aspects

and creating and managing effective cross functional working between the team and its stakeholders to ensure Time to market is on time every time.

The Person:

You should have a minimum of 8 years overall working experience in a related field, 4-6 years’ experience functional and domain expertise, significant knowledge of product development and lifecycle management, tracking record of defining successful strategic visions based upon competitive analysis, tracking record of project execution through driving high quality cross functional teams, understanding of finance, statistics and analytics, ability to understand the market through sophisticated analysis and ability to translate the analysis into easily digestible communications and presentations.
